What is your favorite new or returning TV shows this year?

I was oging to do movies but Rogue One still needs to be released so I figured that might be some people's fav.

Brooklyn 99 is always solid.

Westworld was AMAZING! I love it so much. Especially the music.

This season of Game of Thrones was pretty awesome. Particularly Battle of the Bastards and The Winds of Winter. It also had great music which make sense because they had the same composer.

Am I the only one who didn't really like Westworld? I don't think it's bad -- the production and acting are top notch -- but I just can't seem to connect with it. I'm struggling to watch the last two episodes, because I simply don't care about anything that's happening in it.

I agree wholeheartedly about Game Of Thrones. Season six was pretty damn amazing, especially after a disappointing S5. I've watching the Battle of The Bastards episode countless times now, and it still enthralls me.

That's how I felt about Westworld. It just didn't do anything for me.

I doubt you are the only one. :P It may not just be your thing, which is fine!

BoB is just...beautiful.

Yeah I watched the first episode and was like, "Eh. Okay." I might go back and watch a little more to give it more of a chance than one episode, but for now I'm fine not watching it.

I wasn't really into westworld when I started watching it and I LOVED the last few episodes. If it's only two, give it a try! You might be surprised.

I wanted to love Westworld but it didn't do anything for me, either. I will probably go back and give it another try sometime but for now I've deleted it from the DVR.

I know there have been no big changes, but I'm really enjoying this season.
The plots have been really strange and entertaining, Joan is wearing 3 piece suits all of a sudden, and I really like Shinwell. He's my favourite new Elementary character in a long time.

This gives me hope! I fell behind during the Kitty arc in S3 and then couldn't catch up so didn't watch at all for the longest time. I'm finally getting to the end of S4 and it's been so damn good that I was worried S5 would suck. I will definitely have to find a way to get my hands on it as soon as possible.

Oh yeah you should! So far it's been quieter plot-wise, mostly quiet Joan and Sherlock relationship development, so that's a shift from all the moriarty drama in S4. But I like that.
And what I really like about Shinwell is that he's Joan's friend. Sherlock has lots of eccentric acquaintances, but Joan? It's kind of intriguing from her, and makes me wonder what about him led her to maintain their connection.

Currently, Elementary is the one show I actually make time to watch when it airs rather than watching it off the DVR. It's kind of my happy place right now.

I'm enjoying this season as well. I'm sad the ratings aren't good.

Joan has been getting great outfits this season.

Rogue One is out in the US at least. I saw it today. It was awesome.

New tv shows this year. Lets see. I liked Designated Survivor for a while, but the election kind of soured me a bit. It became to real. I'll probably catch up on it eventually, but right now I just want escapist media.

Returning favorites would be Project Runway, Top Chef, Supergirl, Doctor Who (I loved the Christmas special).

The only thing I'm watching this year is Star Wars Rebels. It's the first year I'm watching as it's airing. I really enjoy it, for the most part.

I recently caught up on the first half of Brooklyn Nine Nine for this season and I loved it all, I have a bad habit of putting off my TV but watching it all in once chunk made me remember why I love that show so damn much.

And Stranger Things was probably my favourite new show this year, I enjoyed it so, so much and am looking forward to a season 2(with some reservations tho if I'm honest).

I'm kinda looking forward to White Rabbit Project, largely because I think Grant, Tori, and Kari were often more watchable than Jamie/Adam.
