Re: What was the last straw...
I stopped watching SPN around season 7 because I got so sick of Dean and Sam getting into arguments, breaking up, and then reuniting to save the day over and over.

(Anonymous) 2016-12-17 09:46 pm (UTC)(link)Actually same with SPN too, although I did watch the S10 (or maybe 11?) premiere which reminded me why I stopped watching the show. The show just feels totally devoid of...something that it had in the first 4 seasons. Even the sets look well, like sets.
Re: What was the last straw...
I don't really mind the structure of the episodes as long as the episode is about something relevant. First episode of this season, sure, that works out. The second episode introducing the kingdom, yeah! After that, eeeeh. No thanks.
I'm still watching because I want to see how Rick and the gang get out of this situation/see everyone come together to take down a common enemy but dang, does this show make it hard to stand by it.
Re: What was the last straw...
(Anonymous) 2016-12-18 02:57 am (UTC)(link)This season so far has been all over the place, but I give it a little leeway just because there's so much worldbulding to be done with all of the different factions and new characters and such. But still, it's been hard to keep my attention on the show. I was pretty much on the edge of quitting it completely, but the very end of the mid-season finale gave me some hope. Daryl escaping and the Daryl-Rick brohug at the end was just awesome, so there's still a glimmer of hope there that the show might get better again. Although it is nice to have my Sunday nights back while the show is on break.
