Heathen! (But that are nice covers, I'll give you that.)

Roger Dean FTW. Beautiful covers.

That is some nice artwork, not sure if I've heard the band so I can't say who I prefer out of them and Floyd.

Very prog-rock for the most part. But "Owner of a Lonely Heart" was a good Eighties pop song, and a big hit.

Oh. OH.

I have heard them! That song to be exact, lol, which I do like. Okay then, so I revise my opinion onto I like them both as different styles.

Ohhh man. I really like Yes (just started getting into them recently!) and think they're incredibly talented and write beautiful music, but I gotta go with Pink Floyd as a personal preference. HOWEVER, I am so with you on the album covers. Relayer is one of my favourites ever!

Album covers yes, Yes. I like that Roger Dean stuff. Music, I'm going to go with Floyd.

Both are good bands, but I'm afraid I have to side with Floyd. That is some great album art, though.

My parents love Yes

(Anonymous) 2016-12-18 10:56 pm (UTC)(link)
I was never much for either band musically, but I adore Roger Dean, so Yes wins on album art for me.

(Anonymous) 2016-12-18 11:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes: better album covers
Pink Floyd: better music

It's a close-run thing in either direction, though.

LP album covers were a minor art form and I miss them.

me too, it's too bad CDs killed them (and mp3s buried them)

I agree, Pink Floyd's popularity confuses me, their sudden resurgence among edgy 20-somethings about 10-15 years ago confuses me more.

Pink Floyd is so overrated and overexposed. They were so overplayed on the radio when I was growing up I got sick and tired of them.

(Anonymous) 2016-12-19 01:06 am (UTC)(link)
Aw, back when albums had covers ...at least, that anyone cared about.

(Anonymous) 2016-12-19 06:10 am (UTC)(link)
Hmm, Yes. I guess Tom Sawyer is an okay song.

(I joke! Pink Floyd, Rush, and Yes are all pretty indistinguishable to me. None of the vocalists could really punch it so I never got into them.)

don't you have some offs to fuck?

(Anonymous) 2016-12-19 06:37 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm with you, OP.

(Anonymous) 2016-12-19 10:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes is better than Floyd by far.
