When I was 11, I had a Science teacher who encouraged everyone with small handwriting to write bigger because 'the size of your handwriting matches the size of your heart'. It made me really self-conscious for ages because people always criticised my handwriting for being small.

My handwriting has always been small too and it was also really light (I've started writing darker in recent years) so teachers hated it. I had one teacher who referred to it as invisible ink and another one used me as an example for why she made everyone write in pen, saying I write beautifully but if I wrote in pencil she couldn't read it.

Whut? I wonder what "science" that teacher taught.
