I played Star Wars and Star Trek and other fandom-related games with my sisters when I was as young as 4-5 (and not fully aware of the actual plots of those properties). One could technically consider that RP. Usually they were Starfleet cadets and I was a child Q who acted like a force of chaos disrupting their "training", and generally like a 5-year old little sister. :D Later we actually wrote some of our adventures, so that could be considered fic. Canon characters were mostly cameos though.

The first real fic I ever wrote was Harry Potter stuff when I was 14 or so. It was about Professor Sinestra, the astronomy professor. She had some kind of weird curse on her, and part of the curse was she couldn't talk about her curse. Eventually she was going to be paired with Lupin, and she was in the Order of the Phoenix. I very cleverly explained why she wasn't in the photo of the original Order by saying she was the one holding the camera, ha ha.
