Goddamn! With all her issues in the last few years, I'm surprised she was still kicking (...errr, probably not the best choice of words). But I'm glad she's not suffering anymore.

I was especially sad to hear this on the news tonight because she & I have the same birthday. :(

And yeah, 2016 is gonna be bitter until the very bitter end, it seems.

Eh, not to sound cold, but I don't really consider it a "major blow" once a person is in their 90s. I'm sad, yes, but... the person did get to live their life. I'd prefer to celebrate that fact rather than curse the universe that took them away far too early, or something.
