Let's use a classic anime as an example. In Inuyasha, Kagome never actually says "I love you" to Inuyasha in the entire series. Kagome stays in the past with him, meaning that she cares about him more than indoor plumbing, but they never actually say the words "I love you" to each other. I guess they aren't confirmed either, by your logic?

(Anonymous) 2016-12-22 01:40 am (UTC)(link)So yeah, thanks to Madarame/Hato now I know that not even characters admitting they have feelings for another men, trying to kiss them or being sexually attracted to them means canon homosexuality. So as long as something leaves room for deniability I'm not going to take the bait ever again. If the author can at any moment say "just kidding, no homo", as far as I'm concerned it's not canon.
