His crush on Yuuko wasn't confirmed either so according to that logic "guy who was in love with a woman for several years" is also bs.

Dude, he tried to confess. Rewatch ep. 01.

... LOL no he didn't. Why would he? She's married with three daughters and there is no way Yuuri didn't know about that. He is nervous in that scene because he's about to show her Viktor's program. Take off your delusional het goggles - even if he had a crush on her, an almost confession is NOT what's happening in that scene.

He says that he started practicing that program to show it to her, because he hoped to get his motivation back through remembering skating with her. The childhood flashbacks could be interpreted as her being the reason he kept on skating at all, since she idolized Victor. That entire setup, and his words afterwards, certainly play up a tried-and-true formula, and that it's her children and husband who interrupt him just drives the point further (lol @ Yuuri, he's such a loser).

But he didn't start to practice that program to show it to her; he did it only to recover his motivation and then decided to show it to her. Those are different things.

Also, Victor being his motivation to skate was also made pretty clear. It's not just Yuuri being surprised when he was a child (because he idolized Victor as much as Yuuko did) and deciding to copy him, he also said he wanted to skate on the same ice as him after Sochi and later when he returned to Hasetsu.

How can people ignore things explicitly said while insisting their interpretation of more ambiguous things is canon? IDEGI.

According to Crunchyroll, he did. Explicitly stated and all.

Oh yes. We all know how highly accurate crunchyroll translations are (Spoiler:They're not. At all.)

Are you fucking dumb or just a troll? People fall in love with married people all the time. Just because you know you don't have a chance doesn't mean you can stop being in love with that person and some people need to confess for a proper rejection and closure.

Jesus, it's not like the show was subtle about his crush on her.

I think you are pretty dumb or a troll. The show isn't even remotely subtle about the Victor/Yuuri relationshhip, yet you choose to put on your blinders and pretend like it doesn't exist while a scene that you misinterpreted is undeniable proof for a het crush that is hinted at a total of 1 time and you take it as the main romantic storyline of the whole show even though it's never mentioned again after episode 1. Classy.

The "kimi no koto..." structure is used as a red herring as frequently as it is used for a confession. And other than that there's NOTHING about his feelings for her. No longing, no regret, no nothing. He even seems to have a close friendship with Takeshi, who isn't just married with Yuuko, but who was kind of a bully when they were kids.

So either that forgotten one-time implication is canon, and so are all the implications (so many to count! We got 12 episodes of their love!) that Victor's feeling for Yuuri (and Yuuri's for Victor) are romantic; or neither are because there wasn't an explicit confirmation.

TL;DR: Stop with the double standards, please.

He literally says that he used skating to run away from his problems after the failed confession scene. It doesn't take a genius to figure out he was thinking of his unrequited love.

He does not literally say that. You need to stop taking inaccurate crunchyroll translations as a basis for you delusions.
