Non-popular thing I like? I love folk music, honestly I do.

Popular thing I hate? Football (soccer for Americans) it is the national religion here, literally, more people go to a football match on a weekend than go to church. I just find it tedious to watch and the "fans" tedious to be around. Drunken louts all of them. I'll add being drunk to the list of things I hate, and also sex. I find the idea of sex deeply unpleasant and sticky and messy and I get distracted by thinking about all the cleaning up that will have to be done afterwards. Ugh, more trouble than it is worth.

Try disliking them and being from Glasgow. That is Glasgow, Scotland. Just in case any Americans are wondering. Football and drinking are pretty much all anyone here cares about.

Accurate. Ugh. And I'm from Boston, so if I was into a sport, it would be baseball. I'm not really, though I'll go to a game occasionally and will watch if the Red Sox are winning. But otherwise I don't keep track. And I never watch football. I hate it.

I also love folk music and hate football.

Add me to the folk music lovers club! I have no idea why anyone would dislike it. I also love all it's crossovers with other genres (in fact, the only metal album I own is folk metal).

Folk metal is awesome!

Especially when the band is singing in their mother tongue.

I don't like football either and it isn't so much the sport that bugs me it's how nuts the fans can get, like causing fights because someone else likes a different team or a team loosing is absolutely bonkers, I just don't understand how anyone can get that mad about it.

I can thankfully avoid it for the most part as most of my family and friends don't care, but outside of those two groups it feels like the country is obsessed with it when I just don't care(the only plus is that it's not considered unusual that I don't care about football because I'm a girl).

I just think of it as shipwars for non-fandom people. It explains a lot on both sides.

Practically all spectator sports are boring as mud to me. I can kinda slightly understand with the footballs (soccer, rugby, American, etc) because they are very active-looking games, but some games I just cannot understand how they work at all, like cricket and tennis.

DA Yeah I'd just go for finding watching all sports boring as hell. I need the things I watch to have a story and some sort of plot, seeing people play sports doesn't do it for me, especially the ones that are kind of slow and/or repetitive.

I understand playing sports, that's fun! But watching them isn't.

Same, mostly, though I can't stand American football. And I'm still not really sure how baseball works or why anyone would ever want to watch it.

Hockey is at least vaguely enjoyable because smashed up white guys is my kink.

I think I understand baseball a little bit because it and softball are sibling sports and I had to play softball in school. On the other hand, baseball is not a big thing here in Australia, so, *shrug*.

...you've obviously never had sex.
