I didn't know people being tired of him was so common. I keep seeing people say this exact thing. But I can't think of that many films I've actually seen him in.

But I don't get tired of anything in that way like a normal person, so the whole concept is just kind of baffling to me. I can listen to a song on repeat for 12 hours and like it just as much at the end as I did in the beginning.

He's been in so many films, though.

Huh, apparently I've seen 13 of them, actually more than I thought even though it's a fairly small percentage of those. He just doesn't stand out to me as much as he does to other people. I feel like his whole QUIRKY thing is overstated. They act like he's exactly the same in every movie but his performance in Pirates of the Caribbean is different from Edward Scissorhands is different from Secret Window is different from Corpse Bride, etc.

DA

idk from 2003 onwards he mostly does the "quirky" character in much the same way, versus his older movies with different themes.

It's this tiresome borderline repetition of character interpretation, it does seem pretty much exactly the same to a lot of us.

This. Like, yes, I recognize him when I'm watching a film, but I rarely feel like I'm watching someone be themselves/be the same character over and over again.

He played Donald Trump. https://www.newsmax.com/Newsmax/files/4f/4f5082e7-d818-4f74-a432-8cc1e131561b.jpg (Funny or Die presents a satirical rendition of Donald Trump's 1987 best selling business book, The Art of the Deal.)

I think I've seen "Once Upon a Time in Mexico" and I know I've seen "Platoon", but that's the only ones. I don't remember Johnny Depp being in either, and I have no opinion for or against him. *shrugs*

If you're going to list every movie he's done for the last 30 years, of course it looks like a lot!
