It's extremely euphonious. It's fun to say. It's very, very versatile, both in meaning and in rhythm - you can use it positively, you can use it negatively, you can say it quickly like a gun shot, you can drag it out. And it's literally asking God to damn someone so it's conceptually powerful. It's just the best.
