(Anonymous) 2017-01-05 03:08 am (UTC)(link)Mind you, I will allow that their (Spock and McCoy's) barbs sometimes did cross over into nasty, especially in the early days, but it was also fairly clear that they'd also die for each other and defend each other against all comers more or less from the start, so.

I have a feeling they either didn't see the show, see it entirely, or just went off the new films.
I mean,. I don't even ship Spones, but even I can see that they'd be just as viable as Kirk/Spock and that McCoy considered Spock as a very dear person to him.
I mean, if he wasn't, I don't think Spock would have entrusted him with his Katra in the first place and McCoy wouldn't have fought as he did to GIVE Spock his Katra back.
