I have a theory that Rose couldn't cope with the whole "Absorbed the Time Vortex, became briefly omnipotent and committed genocide" thing and spent the whole time she was with Ten on the verge of a mental breakdown, trying to convince herself that it was all worth it to be a Companion because she didn't see any way that she could go back to her old life after everything she'd done.

It doesn't make her less annoying, but it makes me dislike her less.

Rose's run is just more interesting if you headcanon the hell out of it. I also like the theory that Nine's influence on his regeneration into Ten was to make Ten Rose's type, which he obviously was, only for Ten to not like like Rose.
