People jump on you for being an asshat because you chose to express your opinions in a way that was... asshatastic. Also, that is a very, very skewed view on the way things happen.

My point of view is that you had an opinion and chose to express it in a way that riled people up in a place where people would easily get riled up. You continued to poke at the hornet's nest by your own choosing. Sure, it sucks that you got stung, but you are not entirely free of blame for the way you chose to express yourself. The internet is a very tricky medium, and you need a crap load of tact to state a potentially inflammatory opinion in a way that doesn't offend anyone... and you don't seem to have that tact.

you seem to be placing a lot of people in a situation where they're damned if they do, damned if they don't. you obviously are angry at them... so if they completely ignore you and your issues, they're being elitist snobs, but if they try to be nice to you, they're obviously being condescending jackasses.

the thing is, you are generalizing. yes, you are. you. are. if you problems with individuals in the game, take it up with them, be angry at them, but characterizing more than one hundred people as horrible, elitist mean girls--many of these people, remember, you don't even know on a personal or superficial level--is crazy.

voting is all about opinion. some people have stricter standards than others. i don't think that's particularly elitist, it's giving voice to the playerbase.

honestly? a lot of the slights against you seem to be all in your head. it's so easy to say "they were mean and horrible and hurt me" but i haven't seen you state one concrete example of this happening that would point towards the group as a whole and not just an individual. and hey, guess what! some people do/did like you! some people still probably do, despite your puzzling attempts to quash any good will held in your memory. i don't see how harukami saying that some people liked you and your character is a lie or insulting in any way. because... you'd have to prove that everyone in the game universally disliked you and your character(s) in order for that to be the case.

and re:audience members, there are plenty of audience members that are liked, embraced, and even do neat little things with the comm that a lot of the playerbase appreciate (such as telly's reveal lists, which are a godsend).
