I seem to like both 'Aggressive, asshole partner A (usually female) x Really Nice partner B' (Think Helga/Arnold from Hey Arnold) and 'Aggressive Jerk with a Heart of gold x Mildly Aggressive partner B' (Inuyasha/Kagome or Ed/Winry)

So basically I like jerks. Just. Any combination of jerks. Bonus points if it's a show aimed at children or teens which falls into the unfortunate 'Abuse Is Okay If It's Female on Male' trope, even though I'm vocally opposed to that in real life and not at all an aggressive woman.

I want to say something more to this than, "that's really interesting" but I don't know what to say, heh.

That's fair! It's not much to comment on. I actually ship just about anything so this is the only pattern I've noticed, but there might be others.
