I think why it looks so bad is because the artists just take a character and darken/lighten the skin a few shades, without bothering to learn about different facial features/structures.

Really? One of the reasons I could never stand Yar was because of how quick she was to throw punches even when it clearly was not the best action for the moment. Yar was a shitty security chief.

Oh god, I hate him too. And with all the fucking fan shipping of him with Ochako - Which makes me feel super fucking uncomfortable, btw. I'm not much of a ship warrior usually but this just makes me skin crawl - and after the way Naruto went with Fuckman McEmo-Edge getting some romantic happiness... I'm just really worried how it's going to go down.

It would, but then they wouldn't be around to be hilariously evil any more.

Actually, maybe there has already been a taste of this karmic punishment. There's no confirmation that it's the same three pigs in every episode. Actually, there's some indication that it's not since they show varying degrees of friendliness and sympathy to the sheep (mostly Timmy) from episode to episode.

As long as you do the shit that needs to be done (like studying and job hunting between your writing sessions), I think you're good, OP. If you're not devoting some time to those things, well, that's a problem.

I envy you though. I feel like I lost all my creativity during my college years and I've been trying to get it back ever since.

I was never super thrilled about any of the relationships in FAKE, really, but I did love it for being a BL comic that got translated into English and was therefore accessible to me way back when I was a baby fan. <3 Your interpretation and appreciation is valid, OP.

Don't know who you mean, but Yurio's design is, technically speaking, pretty generic as far as anime designs go... but I still love it. I think the animators spent the most time on his routines, too, even more so than Yuri's, the art is so tight.
