Bugger off with this gendered shite. Do you read much yaoi by female mangakas? First the villain tries to rape the love interest and that's BAD but then the hero succeeds in raping the love interest and that's just fluffy love bunnies.

It makes more sense if you consider how people treat yaoi like porn rather than a narrative engine containing LBGT characters.

Very much a problem in the industry but there are a few good stories.
