The only pattern I have is that it's almost always my favourite character in a thing that I will ship with another character, usually my second-fave but that isn't the case 100% of the time.

I do have outliers where my favourite character isn't part of my OTP for that canon(example: my Teen Wolf OTP was Allison/Lydia but Derek was my favourite character and I did ship him with others but none of them were my top ship for that series). But I'd say that for the most part my fave character will be part of my fave ship for that canon.

Dynamic and gender permutation with ships are completely variable for me though and I can never, ever figure out kind I'll got for(if anything) until I watch/read/play the thing. Will it be het, slash, or femslash? Only time will tell.

I responded to someone else saying their pattern was closest to mine, but this is basically the same as theirs.

So I guess there's at least three of us out there!
