The slap/slap/kiss dynamic or bickering relationships rarely works for me. The only example I can think of that I actually ship is Han/Leia. And it works because they are unique. They don't fit into the stereotypes of this type of relationship, and for those two characters it works.

Also, unhealthy relationships portrayed as romantic. I'm all about non-con or ships that are unhealthy in other ways. But I like them because they are unhealthy. I don't want them to be sappy.

Also, boss/employee seems to only work for me in fantasy settings (and in contexts where the employee has a strong personality and will say what they think and not just kow tow). real life-like settings or future settings with similar setups (like Star Trek with its military setup) and I'm out.
