There are the usual true crime unsolved mysteries (Zodiac, Jon Benet, etc).

So, I will share a news story that I remember seeing as a kid but was seemingly not talked about again (or at least wasn't on the news I saw). It was about a pizza guy who said he was forced to rob a bank. The people put a bomb around his neck and when he was pulled over, the bomb blew up and killed him (I was watching the news when that happened).
