Also the 2 minute ads for coke they play in front of some movies at carmike.

See, my peeve would be just with Carmike itself, lol.

Once I sat through a literal hour of ads and previews and nearly left before the movie started. And it's not like I even showed up super early, maybe 15 minutes before.

oh boo. I'm a loser who likes the commercials for the most part.

There's only fourteen Grand theaters in the country and we have one of them oddly enough - I went last Tuesday - they had a preshow (With Maria Menudos!), six trailers , and then immediately into the movie. No muss, fuss, or bullshit.

A whole hour though? That's like sitting through half a movie with none of the quality, at least for me. You'd think with that many ads, their prices would be cheaper but noooooooooo.

Of course, where I live, Carmike Cinemas is the bottom of the food chain, and it shows. Their options are limited and they treat their staff like crap. The only decent about them I've found is the popcorn. I can travel an hour for an overall better theatre experience at another chain (and yes, I realize the irony here).

No I was agreeing with you! That's bullshit. As soon as the show time hits, start your trailers. Hell, start one trailer before time.

I get to movies an hour early because i'm a weirdo tbh. Our Carmike either forgets the lights a lot of the time or plays wrong movies, but it's kind of funny.
