Short rant: It saddens me that Harry Potter's kind of become the new Twilight. Everyone agrees that it's awful. Although unlike Twilight, this includes most of the fandom.

Okay, the fandom was always... weird with that. From the start, really. But I never got why all the people who actually liked the books and JKR left, and all the people who think the books suck after the fourth one and JKR is the devil and Draco's leather pants should've defeated Voldemort stayed.

I liked the books and saw the movies (with the exception of stuff released in the last two years). As long as fucking Freeform doesn't air the movies every other goddamn week I don't think I'll get tired of HP.

You're kind of ridiculous. The fact that its internationally beloved etc. by definition means that most people don't hate it. If you really need to feel persecuted about something, your love of Harry Potter isn't it.
