Re: Do you like your job?

I like it all right. It's very routine which would drive some folks nuts, but it means for the most part I know what's going on and feel on top of things. My boss is great and I can talk shop with my co-workers okay, but I like that I'm in a work suite pretty much all day and I don't have to be around people for any extent of time.

While I'm okay with my job, it's not where my career aspirations lie and there's no real advancement opportunities. I'd like to stay in the company because I like it there and think it'd look pretty good on a resume, and my boss is super encouraging of setting up job shadows in other areas, but I haven't figured out where I want to go and worry even if I did that I'd be unqualified. I'm sticking there for now because my living situation is very much linked to other family members and I don't want to be out of work and unable to support them, but I'm also afraid if I ever do leave that my career prospects will be nil.
