I'm really loving Lethal Weapon and liking MacGyver. I was also really liking Speechless, and I do still like it, but one of the kids is sort of the Parks & Rec Jerry of the show, and that's off-putting.

I think I know which kid you're talking about but what gave you Jerry vibes? I haven't gotten that vibe yet.

It's not as bad as Jerry, but I feel like Ray gets sidelined a lot in favor of his siblings. When I posted that comment, I was in the middle of watching an episode where everyone will move heaven and earth trying to get JJ a kiss but nobody will take seriously the simple act of trying to get him to a bus on time for something that's important to him.

Yeah I was going to say I don't think anyone is purposefully being malicious to Ray the same way the Parks & Rec crew did to Jerry, and Ray is also different because Jerry was pretty happy go lucky/took it in stride where as this kid will complain when he feels shafted.

So far it doesn't really bother me because the family comes off as all giving each other shit and making sacrifices, but I think if they continue to always put Ray last I'll probably change my tune about it.

I'm glad to hear that about Lethal Weapon and MacGyver! I have both of those DVRed but haven't watched yet (I'm the person that commented to your thread above and mentioned about a million shows). One of these days I've gotta catch up on everything.

I already mentioned upthread the Good Place. Speechless is also really good.

I got pretty into Westworld though I'd say it has it's flaws.

I already mentioned The Good Place above, and I'm also liking The Great Indoors.

Although to be fair, with Great Indoors, it's not so much that I love it or it's a favorite, more of a "can't believe I'm still watching this" sort of thing, but there's something about it that's keeping me watching. There have been a couple different times (although of course now I can't think of specific examples) where I was surprised where a storyline went because it was much less mean-spirited than I expected. Also, there was this whole exchange in one episode about gender that was meant to be an "aren't millenials crazy/dumb?" joke and that most people would probably say was too SJW-y and ridiculous, but IDK, I thought it was interesting, and overall I think the show has a good heart? I know that's a weird way to say it, but I can't think of quite the right way to describe it. I mean, it's not a great show by any means (and the writing is nowhere near as smart as Good Place) but there's something about it that I just find sort of...endearing lol.

I think those are the only two. I thought there was at least one more I was enjoying but if there is I'm totally blanking on it and obviously it hasn't made THAT much of an impression on me.

I've been following "The Great Indoors", too. Like you said, it's not perfect, but the cast seems to gel well enough, which helps, and I'm liking some of the friendships being built throughout-the interplay between Mason, Clark, and Jack is entertaining. And I like Clark's little back and forth with Emma as well. If the show gets another season, I'd be interested to see how the friendships and relationships continue to deepen among the group.
