Re: What new shows this season have you loved?
(Anonymous) 2017-01-25 03:49 am (UTC)(link)Although to be fair, with Great Indoors, it's not so much that I love it or it's a favorite, more of a "can't believe I'm still watching this" sort of thing, but there's something about it that's keeping me watching. There have been a couple different times (although of course now I can't think of specific examples) where I was surprised where a storyline went because it was much less mean-spirited than I expected. Also, there was this whole exchange in one episode about gender that was meant to be an "aren't millenials crazy/dumb?" joke and that most people would probably say was too SJW-y and ridiculous, but IDK, I thought it was interesting, and overall I think the show has a good heart? I know that's a weird way to say it, but I can't think of quite the right way to describe it. I mean, it's not a great show by any means (and the writing is nowhere near as smart as Good Place) but there's something about it that I just find sort of...endearing lol.
I think those are the only two. I thought there was at least one more I was enjoying but if there is I'm totally blanking on it and obviously it hasn't made THAT much of an impression on me.
