I do have a bit of a tendency towards this, like roleplaying Varda, one of the Valar, who besides their given roles, don't have huge reams of characterisation, Elros, Elrond's brother who also has almost no characterisation to speak of, G1 Ultra Magnus - strictly the cartoon version, Jowan, a relatively minor Dragon Age character who appears at the most, three times (and that is if you play a mage and work out how to even get the third scene which is bugged), and do I have to mention the Silmarils? They aren't even characters in canon, they're plot devices.
