I can get the shipping (although I'm meh on it), I just don't get the SHIPPING if you catch my meaning.

It really has gotten kind of nutso, hasn't it? I'm a casual fan of the show, and sure, I shipped it a decent amount, but holy shit, some of that reaching. Those multi-page "metas." Just waaaaay too much.

I ship Johnlock HARD. They've been my main OTP for years now. But the tinhatting has always bothered me. Johnlock was never going to happen in canon, and I've always felt that was very clear.

Truth be told, I'm not even sure I agree with (or understand) all the accusations of queerbaiting. It's not my intention to be dismissive of it if it's really there, but...like...is it though? Early on in the series, Sherlock says he's married to his work and John says he's not gay (in a context where it seems meant to establish that he's not into men). If you take those statements at face value, then...I'm not sure I understand where the queerbaiting comes in.
