Man, I sort of wish I could get into competitive play (I only do QP and Arcade) but it seems to intimidating.

Honestly, there's a thrill to CP that just isn't found in QP. I think the matchmaking system in QP is broken so you can clear Hanamura in less than three minutes or just watch the rest of your team get murdered over and over by that Widowmaker on the ledge. CP is where you find true team play. It becomes a bit of an addiction tbh, even though I'm not very good according to my SR. I can only imagine how it feels in the highest ranks.

The key is not to care too much about your SR, and accept that it's your current skill level as it is. It's not there to punish you arbitrary, but to put people with the same skill level together. Of course there's going to be toxic people or people saying nothing but idiots to their team mates, but carry on and you find good groups.
