I was making chicken biryani. The flavor is right, but I fucked up the texture of the rice - too much liquid. It's mushy. But it's still pretty satisfying and I definitely feel like I have some good pointers for next time.

I just feel silly because it was such an avoidable mistake. Like, it's not even that I measured it wrong. I got spooked about how much meat there was and added extra water. I just feel dumb.

But I guess knowing exactly what you did wrong is the best case for making a recipe the first time.
