I wish there was something I could do other than constantly calling my representatives. I need a job where I feel like I'm actively helping every day. Not just a cog in the machine. Someone hire me!

OP - I too spent a lot of time feeling helpless.
But I think we have to keep remembering. 2016 is the year a lot of us really sat up and started taking notice of politics. We got mad, we got scared...now we need to not forget.
A bunch of ants together are a force to be reckoned with. If we don't forget, don't give up, and keep making calls or doing whatever other small "insignificant" thing we can...it will add up, like drops over water, over time.
This generation is going to be different from teh one before. It has to be.
Keep the faith.
