(Anonymous) 2017-02-06 04:48 am (UTC)(link)From what I remember, Photoshop, you can just Stroke text, and you can still edit it freely once you do.
In GIMP, the only way I know how is to select path, create a new layer, copy from path, then Grow (since it's a copy of the text shape, now you have to make it bigger to make it an "outline"), then Fill it with black or whatever, then move the layer behind the text layer so it is effectively an outline. Once you do this, you can't edit the existing text or morph it at all. It's a pain in the ass, but if there is an easier way, I'd love to learn. I feel like every time I google it, and this is the top suggestion though.
