Henry VIII basically invented the media friendly version of the monarchy we see today. He was all about the PR and Pomp and Ceremony. Elizabeth One basically invented the Little Englander Isolationist Narrative that gets replayed every few decades up to the current one. Basically England is stuck spinning their wheels around those two and Hollywood is stuck around England's view of the monarchy.
