I love my kindle, I've had it for years. I have the most basic version, and it's the one I wanted the most. All it is is for reading books. No color, and has that lovely e-ink screen, so I don't get distracted by anything else and it really does mimic reading a book. I travel and move a lot, so it's a lot easier than real books. I definitely recommend it!

Yep, I debated between the Kindle Fire and a Kindle Paperwhite and ended up going for the latter.

Sure, I can't really browse the web, etc...but I don't want to? (that's what the smartphone is for) I just want something to read without glare (I was worried about the Fire being too shiny too). And I don't have to charge the thing for ages, even if I'm reading for hours at a time.
