I find acetaminophen is more NA usage; I see parcetemol used far more in Brit based fandoms--and it's really jarring when it's used in a NA fic.

Yeah, paracetamol was what I meant to say, my brain just lumps the two words together as "long words I never use to describe OTC painkillers."

However, I still wonder whether Brits ever just call the medication by it's brand name, like we do in Canada/the US.

Depends on the medication. There are some that we do, e.g. Lemsip, Calpol, Piriton, but others we don't.
