There’s nothing wrong with John, but it’s a very common name and as such is present in other fandoms I’m in. Noah is less common, plus it has a “no” in it, which just seems to fit, for me. Of course, my guess for the sheriff was Nathan, so I might be a bit biased. As for Stiles, Genim did not fit anything that was said about the name and I personally don’t much care for it, but if you’re talking about Przemysław (another common fanon name), I didn’t have any issues with it and it fit much better with the canon hints, up to a point. But I don’t see where Przemysław is much better than Mieczysław and I very much liked the backstory with him being called “Mischief” because it was as close as Stiles could get when he was younger, but since that’s what his mom called him, he stopped when she died.
