I think a lot of us feel that way.

Even when I end up enjoying a certain dynamic, sometimes it makes me cringe when the ham-handed "that's how it's supposed to be!!!!" dynamic comes through. :/

I've read some amazing authors (IMO) who don't handle it very well and it seems like sex is a one-note thing. The characters can be great, but they still revert to this one stupid stereotype during sex. (Penetrating=real sex, teh manly man is teh one who tops, etc.)
