ETA: Okay, that sounded more condescending than I meant for it to sound, I apologize. It's just that your secret really reminds me of how I approached romantic relationships as a teenager, though. Back then I really, really cared about:

a) My boyfriend sharing all of my most intense interests
b) Valentine's Day
c) Keeping up appearances in a relationship (i.e. not breaking up right after receiving a present)
