(Anonymous) 2017-02-26 09:07 pm (UTC)(link)Vampires, in many fictional universes especially Anne Rice onward, deliberately pick the people they want to turn into vampires, and there is often a sexual/romantic component to that. It therefore makes sense that a vampire is likely going to choose a hot, attractive person to turn into a vampire.
Werewolves usually seem to transmit the werewolf disease just from the victim surviving the bite, right? And werewolves never seem to have that "romantic" component to their feeding, it's more like, uncontrollable hunger and they literally want to devour people. It's not sexual. So they probably are more likely to be average looking people rather than skewed sexy.
