like vethica said, it's pretty much the platform of note for DW RPers. It's super easy to use. Want to talk about your game? Make a plurk with a headline for it and your fellow players can plot with you. Want to share pictures of your cat? Plurk about it so all your friends can coo. Don't give a shit what your friends are plurking about? Mute the plurk and you never have to care about it. It also insta-notifies you when a plurk has been responded to.

It behaves more like an old-school aim chat than FB or other social media platforms do, but you can have several chats going on at once in different places without crossing the streams. Super handy.
