So this one time in elementary school this other kid told an authority figure (someone from the school administration, not a teacher) that I'd said something about her to make fun of her. So I got a talking to and no matter how much I tried to insist that I hadn't said anything about her (or anyone else) at all...they didn't believe me.

Still annoyed about that every time I remember it.

Oh I had something like that happen to me. I got paired up with someone for a project in middle school and his mom called my mom saying that he had tried to work on it with me at school but I shrugged him off, and then my mom got really mad at me and made me go to his house to work on the project. To this day, I have no idea what any of them were talking about.

got a similar one - got into a small fight in 1st grade and was suspended for hitting a kid. the other kid also hit me but some of our classmates told the teacher/admin that he didn't so he didn't get in trouble.

not a huge deal now, I know, but man it stung at the time...
