I'm still bitter that none of the organizations I tried joining/starting in college ever went anywhere, including some I was really looking forward to. I don't know if it was that it was a small liberal arts school (lower population = fewer people to join things?) or if social media has made joining things pointless, since you can just add people to Facebook to get to know them.

But damn it, one organization in particular could have really kicked ass if anyone had bothered with it.

Hugh Laurie getting fucked out of an Emmy every year House was on. He did get to be Mardi Gras king, though, which obviously made him happy.

- Heroes becoming so awful. Also, pandering to Sylar fangirls contributing majorly to the poor quality of the show.

- Every fandom I've tried getting into since my first one preferring fanfic (mostly involving ships I don't sail) over meta.

(Even Mad Men was mostly Peggy/Don fanfic. Mad Men should've had the best meta ever.)

As well as way worse RL things, but I won't go there.

The first season of Heroes was amazing, the writer's strike derailed season 2 and then wait, did season 3 and 4 happen? I pretend those don't exist.

In first grade, I got sick and threw up all over the floor, I didn't have anything to eat so the barf was clear. This one jerk tells the teacher that I spit on the floor, so the teacher makes me clean it up and I got in trouble afterwards that.

I'm still bitter over Tony Blair and his dodgy dossier because he just wanted to give war a chance. The UK might not be in such a fucking mess if he'd taken a more Harold Wilson approach to the whole matter.

A comment I made in a thread about unbelievably stupid people, got more than one response telling me there was nothing stupid about the person I talked about and why, and the fact that I forgot about the thread before I had a chance to ask the responders what they were thinking and how they could have misunderstood me so badly.

My comment, if you're curious, was about a girl in one of my classes telling our teacher "I'd kick you in the balls" in response to a hypothetical example he gave her (because she asked) of a threat/how to respond: he said "If I told you, I'm going to kill you--" and she interrupted him with her answer. And didn't understand why he got mad at her. When I told the story, the comments I got in reply said she had a right to be confused and he shouldn't have gotten mad at her because if he's allowed to give a hypothetical threat, she's allowed to give a hypothetical response.

But. That wasn't the problem?! I don't know where yall live, but where I'm from, the problem is this: you DO NOT say "balls" to a teacher. You do not even say a word like that in front of a teacher. THAT is why he got mad at her. I thought that was something everyone knew and cannot understand why I should have had to explain it, but I'm extremely bitter that I forgot and wasn't there to explain it until a month too late.

Eh, sorry, but I don't think saying "balls" is particularly risqué, and like the people who originally replied to you, I also think that a death threat is a legitimate excuse for salty language.

No offense, but if a teacher is giving me a hypothetical "I'm going to kill you!" situation, I'm pretty sure everyone in the room is old enough to say fucking balls.

So this one time in elementary school this other kid told an authority figure (someone from the school administration, not a teacher) that I'd said something about her to make fun of her. So I got a talking to and no matter how much I tried to insist that I hadn't said anything about her (or anyone else) at all...they didn't believe me.

Still annoyed about that every time I remember it.

On The West Wing, how they made CJ Chief of Staff instead of Josh. I know the writers wanted a way for him to be out campaigning, but it was kind of awful.

Also that he didn't drop out of the race one year ago when it was obvious he wasn't going to win, but rather decided to go scorched earth, blaming everyone but himself for why he wasn't winning.

Okay, so I am surprisingly not as bitter as I was back in the day, and you could say reading TRC helped me grew out of the bitterness (ha!)

Thought I'm bitter about Fei Wong Reed being such a plain villain. He just needs a mustache to twirl evilly while petting a cat (which is also evil) and drinking from a cup of wine (evil wine!) while grinning in his (evil!) chair and monologuing about his evil deeds.

I know it was mentioned the he might have also been a clone or remnants of a wish, but compared to clone!Sakura and clone!Syaoran who had a PERSONALITY, he was just Blandy McBland, Perpetrator of Angst.

Yes, I'm 8 years later to the party, yay~
