Er, I just realized what a Robert Carlyle fangirl this makes me sound, but he's actually played a couple of single dads, most famously in The Full Monty, where he's at least temporarily a stripper. And his backstory in Once Upon a Time involves being a single dad for awhile. There's more, but those are the easiest to find.

DA. That's one of my favourite films because I watched it when having to deal with jobcentre for a while (modern one and yes, due to disability and yes, it was horrible).
