Well, I would point out that your first issue is that you seem equate strippers to victims, which is - and I double checked this comment and your secret with a friend of mine in the sex work industry before posting, so argue with her - kinda garbage.

But take the stripping out of it and I agree, the media doesn't really seem to show single parents as happy people, it's always "I'm so burdened, why is my life so bad?" which again, seems kinda garbage.

ETA: Although thinking about it, happiness doesn't make for great telly, so maybe I'm over thinking it and ignoring the fantasy / reality boundary.
