Idk, indifference mostly. There was Paranorman, they did okay with a gay kid. Granted not disney, but...first clearly state gay animated character in kids movie I was aware of.

Then there's Korra.

So Disney finally taking a step...good i guess, maybe more childrens movies and tv shows can start including the odd gay character. Lefou... reading it, sounds like an overdramatic comedic mess, not interested overly.

And I really love how they did it with Paranorman too, because it was just such an offhand remark and there was no... stereotypical 'gay acting' with the character.

He was just a character who happened to have a boyfriend.
