haha I started rooming with a girl, now one of my closest friends, on the recommendation of her first roommate in college, and the latter (friend's first roommate) was creepy to my friend when they lived together. and also apparently didn't like her. people are weird.

as for the first people, what was their justification for not just...talking to you??? jerks.

People are weird. At least you get some good stories (and friends!) out of it on occasion.

And honestly, I think they hated us after the wife came over, nosing about our child situation. She wanted to set up "play dates" with the grandchildren she watched every day, i.e. subcontract me as daycare for them. When I told her that we didn't have any, since we were really too young (mid-20s at the time), she turned very cold and snotty, basically implying that I wasn't any use as a wife if I didn't consent to being a baby factory. So yeah. Real gem there. Love living in the South, let me tell ya!

Yeah she was super odd. She videotaped my friend's food drawer and like, watched it later laughing? or something. just...bizarre.

and wow that lady sounds like an asshole.
