Pokemon will always be my "safe" fandom, but I've learned that individual Pokemon themselves can be ruined for me due to me associating them with someone (usually their favorite). It really sucks when it was a Pokemon I originally liked.

Nosepass and Rampardos were associated with really awful people I mistakenly let into my life, Octillery reminds me of someone I still regret getting into an argument with, and Zangoose reminds me of a friend I had feelings for and drifted apart from.
