3. It sucked because they tried to fit a bazillion novels into a few episodes!!! Ok, it didn't suck, but it didn't hold up either. There was too much material in too little time. They could have done it better.

4. It wasn't a gift. Genome wanted an eternal little messenger. He was amused by the fact that Viral thought he could ever beat a spiral being. He knew that it would torture Viral. It was pretty fucked up. And now that Viral has gone on to make friends, he gets to watch them all die. Yeah, that's a real nice gift.

30. ...what? What the hell? Whining that you don't have talent and blaming it on the kids that do? How fucking pathetic!

35. Yeah, I hear that the elitism of comics scares away even new fans and the whole industry is limbering towards a painful death. See what elitism gets you? Anyway, if you wanna fic it, start an Iron Man movie comm and fic to your heart's content with other people who also like the movie.

44. XD Just because someone designed a character doesn't mean that they held the hand of the animators all the way through the process. If the characters get uglified, I won't blame Clamp.

For the nth time - yes, I know they only did the character designs. I was talking about those. They're ugly, bad animation only makes them even more ugly. For me, anyway.

Thank you for putting it better than I did. There was too much going on at one time, and not enough episodes to tell it in. At the end, I was like "is that IT?".

Apparently, there are over 30 novels plus assorted drama cds, art books, etc. If you try to shove all that material into 13 episodes of anime and an OVA, or even half of that material, or even a third of that material, you're just bound to fail. They make movies of single books and have trouble squeezing it all in. Their problem was that they tried to do waaaaaaaaaaaaay too much with too little. It just doesn't work that way.

I'm not mad at the lack of hot sweaty sex, I like that constant tension they had going on. I'm just mad that they spat out such a stunted project. There's so much potential there and we get this super condensed, often times confusing little teaser. That makes me mad. =/

That's the best thing to do. If you're into Tenjou Tenge, I hope you've been reading it in a language other than English. The official English version is edited and MangaTranslation is the only group scanlating it.
