I don't know if this will help, but my latest tactic is remembering a phrase I read once and copied, but forgot the note the source. In essence: the brain can be a real asshole (alter the description as is most comfortable for you, like "jerk", "jackwagon", etc.)

So, your brain is currently being on a dickweed streak. Do you want to listen to a complete jerk? No!

Thusly, working on telling it off has been helping me lately when my brain goes into asshole mode despite my meds and therapy.

I figure anything's worth a shot, and I sincerely hope things even out for you soon!

Thank you so much :,) that would help me in dividing the problem with myself. To consciously identify it as its own entity, rather than something I'm doing wrong, is really helpful. Damn this parasite.
