- I really liked the show Raising Hope... until my grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. For those of you who've never seen Raising Hope, the grandmother having Alzheimer's is one of the jokes (although it's also treated seriously). It just... wasn't funny anymore. Not that it ever really was, it always bothered me, but it was easier to overlook before.

- I knew of someone who lost their dog and their Godfather in the same short span of time. Then they read the fifth Harry Potter book. Yeah...

(For those of you who haven't read the books, yes, there's a reason that was a huge blow.)

AYRT - I can see why it would look that way, but no, that's not what I was doing. I just didn't see the need to rehash the entire book, so I kept it vague.
