Re: What movies/shows/games were you really hype for...

-Dragon Age: Inquisition.
Mind, I still put an embarrassing number of hours into it. But, I was so HYPED for the main plot. In Hushed Whispers was SO GOOD (ugh Sera broke my heart and the whole 'traveling to the dark future thing' was just... I want that as the game, fuck the real Main Plot just give me the dark future). Red lyrium was so creepy, oh god, it's an infection and it's bursting up through the ground and getting worse and worse. And HOLY FUCK VENATORI ARE AWESOME.

And then we steam-rolled Corypheus a few hilariously anti-climactic times and it was over. :\

It's like every time the game tried to build the stakes, the writers were like "but wouldn't it be better if you were always winning?" Like a fucking Donald Trump speech, I literally got sick of winning all the time.

-Sims 4
I have hazy but fond memories of playing The Sims at a friend's house and I love sim games in general so I picked it up on launch. It's okay I guess, but I feel like I'm not enough of an asshole to really get any enjoyement out of it. My main dude's boyfriend lit himself on fire and died bc I couldn't figure out how to put him out, and that was really sad. And all the funny shit I remember doing as a kid like building a pool and removing the ladder, it just makes me feel bad for the little sim people. :( So I was playing as a benevolent god but it got old really fast.
